Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellations and rescheduling are entirely at the discretion of the Capain, Sailtime Virginia, or Sail Virginia Yacht Charters. The Renter/Student cannot invoke 'bad weather' and request a refund as a reason for cancellation. The Captain or VA Yacht Charters and Training management will decide if the weather conditions are not safe to go out on the water. Cloudy skies or a chance of rain are not grounds for cancellation or rescheduling. If a cancellation or rescheduling is necessary, the Renter/Student must send a request by email to Info@vayachtcharters.com.

To understand our ASA course or Yacht Charter cancellation policy, please review the table below:

45 + days prior to course/charter = 100% refund of course or charter fee

30-45 days prior to course/charter = 75% refund of course or charter fee

15-29 days prior to course/charter = 50% refund of course or charter fee

7-14 days prior to course/charter = 25% refund of course or charter fee

Less than 7 days prior to course/charter = 0% refund

If the Renter/Student elects to reschedule the course/charter more than 14 days before the start of the course or charter, the Renter/Student has 6 months to reschedule onto an existing Calander charter/course availability.

** An independent company provides course/Charter Insurance through our Booking Platform.
